On October 24, 2015, the Living for Kimberly Foundation kicked off our first event in memory of Kimberly. The event was held at the Middleboro Lodge of Elks 1274 and included approximately 250 people, over 30 raffle prizes, food and drinks and a lot of dancing! The room was decorated with purple and white balloons, two large Living for Kimberly banners and two tables with information about SUDEP and Epilepsy. Through ticket sales and the raffle, the event raised approximately $18,000!

To start the night, Kimberly’s sister Jaimee thanked everyone for the overwhelming support during the past five months and for attending this LFK kick-off despite how difficult this year has been. October 24, 2015 was Kimberly’s wedding date, a night that was supposed to be a very different and happier occasion. Knowing Kimberly, we decided to keep this day special by bringing her family and friends together to laugh, dance and share memories.

Although emotional, the night was the perfect way to kick off our foundation surrounded by Kimberly’s favorite people. A huge THANK YOU to the Middleboro Elks for donating the space and to 7 Day Weekend, Kimberly’s wedding band, for keeping us dancing all night. To everyone that came, donated and celebrated with us – THANK YOU.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the next Annual LFK Benefit in early 2017!
